HARPERS FERRY 1841 "MISSISSIPPI" RIFLE

The US 1841 was used by both sides in the US Civil War and the "Mississippi Rifle" nickname comes from the rifle equipping a regiment from Mississippi during the war with Mexico (1848). This rifle's lock is nicely marked with the Eagle stamp and "US" in front of the hammer. This percussion rifle has a case hardened frame, patch box, polished brass fitting, round rust brown barrel, sling swivel and walnut stock.
