Review: The hook bolt is about 1/8 to 1/4 too short and will require fitting, probably on some guns and not all, not positive on that, but it came up short on one of mine, need to test fit it to the other 2 I have in my possession. Mine also set the comb a bit high making the rear sight notch useless. Fyi, if your expecting to get your eye low enough to make your sights more useable and steady, it won't. But can still use the front head, so it's a short barreled rifles shotgun basically. I think I can work with that. I don't see a way to lower the comb without cutting out half the stock, so is what it is. Feels good, comes up ok aside from the previously mentioned sighting issue. I've got a bit more work to do to my guns and their plungers so they're more historically accurate and able to handle conical, but this is a welcome addition. 4 stars due to fitment to the gun. Also, if your grips are a bit proud of the frame, expect this to rub or have fitment issues there as well. I've got that problem on all 3, so I'll be sanding and finishing grips soon for more proper fitment. Pietta does ok for the price point, but I'd pay a little more if the grips actually fit the frames.

Review: Add to the long barreled. 44 and it makes a fun little carbine. Please know it does take a little fitting for a good fit but nothing a dremel cant handle in s few minutes.
