Review: This is a great revolver. The grips are plastic but have a good feel. Very light trigger pull. My only complaint is occasionally the hammer gets stuck and will not pull back unless the trigger is pulled and the hammer is pushed forward. I stripped it and gave it a good cleaning. There's probably some light file work that can be done to fix this issue and improve it's reliability.

Review: After dealing with EMF I would not hesitate to purchase from them again. The same for the Pietta name a mark of quality! If you have not done so check out the Pietta factory video on YouTube. After you watch that I doubt you will want to purchase any other brand. The pistol itself arrived by UPS undamaged and perfectly packaged. The graphic on the box itself is almost as beautiful as the pistol it contains. Upon initial inspection the pistol was coated well with oil which cleaned up extremely easily. The overall feel and weight of the gun was excellent. The action smooth right out of the box. The timing of the revolver was set properly. I could not find any flaws with this pistol and I looked very hard. Truly an exceptional piece manufactured by the best company in Italy (Pietta) shipped by the best distributor in the United States (EMF) straight to my home. As I received my Pietta 1851 Navy Cowboy to great satisfaction I am starting a subsequent list of pistols I will be purchasing from EMF in the future. I would also like to add an important piece of information regarding brass framed revolvers. They are not only exceptionally beautiful but will stand the test of time if treated properly. I highly recommend using black powder only! Of course we know smokeless powder is out of the question. However if there is no black powder available in your area you must use pyrodex P of which I have found to be readily available. Make no mistake as is stated on the barrel this is a black powder only pistol!

Review: Wow, got a personal phone call to confirm order, then arrived a week later. Shot a few cylinders full and was impressed, there is no guns in this price range this powerful or fun to shoot. The only negative thing I could say would be about the few flaws in the fit and finish none of which are as bad as guns I've seen for a lot more money. Can't wait to purchase my next one from EMF.
