Review: This is my second 1851. The action didn't seem as good as my first one. I detail stripped it, boiled and baked it, & greased it then closely inspected each part. There were a few sharp edges and some small chips that clung to parts. With a judicious use of jewelry files, the revolver was better than new. The timing is perfect. Cylinder alignment is very good. Barrel/cylinder gap is very small. If anything, the trigger pull is too light. My purpose in buying this pistol is to swap out barrel and cylinder to my 1851 steel frame revolver. After swapping, the steel gun now a .44, works flawlessly. The brass frame gun is now a .36 -7.5. I'll be using light loads in the 36 and heavy loads now in the 44 with the steel frame. Both good guns.
