"Cattlebrand"

Great Western II "Cattlebrand"

Ranching in the western United States is derived from vaquero culture. Throughout most of the 1800s, ranchers in the United States set their cattle to roam the prairie, historically referred to as "open rangeā€. Livestock was usually branded, with distinct symbols, so lost cows - either through wandering animals or cattle rustlers - could be returned to their rightful owner.
