"Dropped right in"
Tye Wood on 5/3/2026 9:05:43 PM
Review: I bought a Copper Canyon SAA revolver in 38/357 and found that some models came with an additional 9mm cylinder so I ordered one. The cylinder came promptly and dropped right into the frame and indexed as good as I could tell without shooting it. Feeding factory ammo into it I found that one chamber seemed like it had a microscopic burr causing some drag on the cartridge but unlike a smaller diameter chamber. I expect it will wear away as I shoot it or the tiniest bit of chamfering will correct ... More details

Review: I ordered this 9mm cylinder to go with a Cimarron Pistolero in .357 Magnum, which was also built by Pietta. I was pleased to see that it dropped in and indexed properly with no fitting required. It shot well with Swedish milsurp m/39B Ball and Wolf 115 grain FMJ on my first range trip with it. Note that steel cased ammo may give sticky extraction. This isn't the fault of the cylinder, it's the fault of the steel cases that aren't as elastic as brass.
"9mm cylinder"

Review: I have 3 Pietta firearms. The cylinder works in two of them so far. It seems to fit much tighter in one of them than the other, but that might be due to the cylinder pin on the tight gun. (The cylinder free spins on 2nd cock in one gun, but must be hand turned in the other).

Review: Just returned from the range. What fun! I own the 4.75 DOGE Edittion .357. Beautiful gun. This cylinder drops in and away you go. No timing troubles or even second thoughts. To begin with, In this gun, both 357 ans .38 Spl feel great. The 4.75 Barrel and fair balance contribute to not being let down when changing cartridges. The same can be said for 9mm. Today I shot .357 and switched to the 9mm cylinder. I actually enjoyed the 9mm more!. Well done EMF.

Review: I ordered the 9mm cylinder for my 357 1873 SAA clone. Saves money on ammo and opens up its versatility. The craftsmanship is excellent and it works perfectly when used at the range. Shipping was prompt and even delivered 1 day earlier than expected. Thank you EMF!

Review: Fast service, quality product. 9mm is allegedly the easiest ammo to find, if you are a reloader it also saves black powder and lead if you go out plinking, at around 13 grans of FFFg and a 115 grain lead bullet you are having fun and not looking for up 9mm brass on the floor. You can still use .357 Magnum as a sidearm when hunting or .38 Special in competitions.
