Review: Ok, I'm a retired gunsmith and I have worked on a LOT of SAA guns. I bought this ss hammer to allow an easier reach for my short, stubby thumbs. To my complete amazement, this hammer required NO FITTING, it dropped right in, and the timing is now BETTER than with the original hammer. This was installed in my 1873 SA Flattop Birdshead nickel-plated sixgun and the gloss polished finish looks like a nickel-plated hammer! I also bought a GWII Bisley SS hammer, which was also a drop-fit into my GWII Gunfighter nickel-plated gun with same the results!! Absolutely superb!!!
